There's a way to get it done quite easily, though. In the next blog post, I'll explain how I do it myself. Maybe it'll be useful!
First of all, consider your surface. ALWAYS choose a surface that your clay will adhere to well. For example, an acrylic sheet, glass plate, tile, or like me: a large polished marble slab (love it).
Run your conditioned clay through the pasta machine or roll it flat on your surface. Roll the clay extra carefully to ensure it adheres well.
Make a small bowl of cornstarch or flour (I prefer using cornstarch because it's super easy to wipe away afterward). A light dusting is enough; all you need to do is dip your cutter in it.
Take your cutter and dip it a few times with the cutting edge in the cornstarch and press out your shape as you normally would.
And voila, it worked! No matter how small or narrow the shape, it always works! Just remember to always use a sharp tissue paper to remove the shape from the surface.
TIP: Use a soft brush to remove any remaining cornstarch from your project. This is very easy!
